Hi, I'm Matěj.

I make things you can (hopefully) experience. Music, events and now a game. I explore what it means to really be human, then try to turn what I find into something you can feel.

Trust Me, It's a Shortcut

Remember the Top Gear specials? Three friends, three unsuitable cars and a finish line on the other side of a continent. That's exactly what I'm building, as an online game for 1–4 players.

You know where to go. You don't know how. The cars fall apart along the way, “the producers” keep changing the rules, and you keep deciding whether to pull your friend out of the mud or leave them there. The first stage runs through Botswana, built from real map data.

No One on the Other Side

Surviving is the easy part. Knowing no one will ever answer is what breaks you.

Music as notyetdead

I've always written music. Now I'm coming back to it my own way: every song carries one single idea about what it means to be human.

Everything I release now goes out under one name: notyetdead. A music project that would like to be a community. Because even if the world is coming apart, as long as we're alive, we still get a say.

How I think

  • 🔭
    Long-term thinking

What I build on

Production, product and projects

For more than ten years I've worked where production, product and projects meet. Festivals and a club, online gaming sites, e-shops, sales. A different world every time, but the same job: take an idea and see it through so it works for the people on the other side.

A few things come with me everywhere. I think long-term, not just about next quarter. I trust creativity, even where there seems to be no room for it. I care about what people actually experience. And I try to give others more value than they expect.
